Of course it really is EVERYBODY’s art work but it was my idea. I
still encourage people to add to it until it becomes totally
outrageous.

I create out of joy and this reflects in my work. My style is whimsical, happy and generally pretty abstract. I know I have created a good piece if it makes me smile when I see it. I am self-taught and believe that to be an advantage rather than a hindrance. Among other things, formal training teaches the “rules” about how to make “good art.” If there is anywhere that rules should be broken, it is with art.
I work with recycled steel, found objects, and steel tubing, re-bar, etc. I like that I can turn what would ordinarily be considered waste into art. I love to create kinetic sculptures that turn in the wind. I intend them to be reminiscent of ancient artifacts of an unknown civilization. I was born in 1953 in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Southern California. I have been producing original art since I was 20 years old as a hobby. I have worked in many media including watercolor, pencil, and acrylic. In 1991 I moved to Prescott, Arizona, where I participated in shows with my acrylic paintings. For the past ten years I have been creating welded steel sculpture, custom art gates and architectural details.
