East Jesus welcomes photography as an artistic contribution to our larger project, and allows photographs to be taken of our art by any and all visitors.  HOWEVER, we do NOT authorize or license the use of those images for ANY commercial purpose without a SPECIFIC LOCATION RELEASE or SPECIFIC ART RELEASE.

Photographs, film, video, or any other likeness of our works MAY be used ONLY for:

#1- Personal use of physical or digital imagery, including but not limited to uploading to your social media site/s, exhibiting to non-public audiences, and the like AS LONG AS all images released digitally are prominently and properly attributed to East Jesus, the name of the artist that produced the work (if known,) the title of the work (if known,) and “eastjesus.org”  If you are contacted by us with the name and/or title of the work, you agree to add the attribution.

#2- Artistic exhibition of physical or digital imagery for gallery exhibition, sale of PHYSICAL PRINTS, or on the photographers website for display only AS LONG AS all images released digitally are prominently and properly attributed to East Jesus, the name of the artist that produced the work (if known,) the title of the work (if known,) and “eastjesus.org.”  If you are contacted by us with the name and/or title of the work, you agree to add the attribution.

#3- Student works and class projects.  Please be aware that imagery shot for student works or class projects MAY NOT be used later for any commercial purpose without a specific written release.

For any other use, you MUST obtain a SPECIFIC WRITTEN RELEASE.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES may imagery of our works be used for the following without a SPECIFIC WRITTEN RELEASE from The Chasterus Foundation:

#1- Commercial use, advertising, or promotion; including but not limited to: music videos, print advertisements, films or video (including shorts, features, television broadcast, and documentaries,) or any other use that promotes any product or person or entity.

#2- Merchandising or manufacturing of a product for sale, including but not limited to: books, apparel, housewares, electronics, textiles, accessories, or any other physical item.  This includes “print on demand” products including books, apparel, or any other physical object other than a PHYSICAL PRINT (including but not limited to lithographs, glicee prints, or photographic prints.)

#3- Sale or use by or to a “stock photo” or “stock video” library, clearing house, website, etc.  UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will we allow our imagery to be used as stock footage.

To obtain a specific, written release for your project, please contact info@eastjesus.org with your request, as well as your specific intended use of your images of our art.  Please be aware that we generally will not license products.  For promotional or commercial use, we request a donation to the Chasterus Foundation on par with industry-standard location fees.  You agree to  prominently and properly attribute East Jesus, the name of the artist that produced the work (if known,) the title of the work (if known,) and “eastjesus.org”  If you are contacted by us with the name and/or title of the work, you agree to add the attribution to any digital content.  For digitally released content, attribution will placed in the “description,” and eastjesus.org will be an operational link.  For non-digitally released content, attribution will be placed in the “credits.”

MOREOVER, by posting your photographs of our imagery online or digitally, you authorize us to use those images on our websites and social media outlets, including but not limited to eastjesus.org, facebook, twitter, patreon, etc.  You also authorize us to use those images for the promotion of East Jesus and The Chasterus Foundation.  While it is our policy to include watermarks and attribute the images to the photographer when that information is available, you also acknowledge that your sole remedy for unattributed images is to request attribution.  To request attribution, please send us a copy of the image that belongs to you (for identification purposes) with your name and/or website address.  Alternatively, you may send us a watermarked image (provided the watermark does not conceal large portions of our art and the image is of equal or better quality,) and we will replace the non-watermarked image with the watermarked image at our earliest opportunity.
